We are an Italian company specialized in lingerie since 1971.
Since those years of revolution and vindication of the female body, we have understood how important it is to listen to women and identify with their needs, dictated by the times, by their way of being, by their desire to feel comfortable and desirable.
We worked to make our Brand combine, in a single product, all our know-how of corset craftsmen with the creativity of new trends and the quality of our materials and processing methods.
We have created garments famous worldwide for their high wearability and sensuality of lines.
We have been able to expand in the fashion sector and continue to do so, always diversifying our offer and producing millions of garments loved by women in over 20 countries.
Our story: from a small corsetry workshop to a leading company specializing in bras and underwear
Lormar was born in Carpi, in the heart of the Emilian corsetry district and in that of its founders, Felice Martinelli and Carla Scacchetti.
From a small artisan laboratory we have become a leading company, specialized in the comfortable, feminine and sexy underwear sector, thanks to our dedication and our values of seriousness, quality, experience, creativity and passion.
Years of study, work, happy collaborations and a vision always projected towards the future, have led us to acquire new brands and to expand our offer also in other segments, such as homewear and sleepwear. But above all, they allowed us to become a reality of over 400 employees and more than 8 million heads distributed in more than 20 countries.
A reality we are proud of, but that does not stop us from understanding and interpreting, still today, women, their spirit, their needs and their time.
1971
Felice Martinelli and Carla Scacchetti found
LORMAR, in Carpi, near Modena, the capital of the Italian Corsetry district.
1980
From a small artisan workshop to a leading company
specializing in corsetry, recognized in Italy for interpreting the style of the
"contemporary woman" in a fashion key and for the perfect fit of its
garments.
1999
Internationalization and stable presence of the
Lormar brand in over 20 countries
2000
Construction of the second factory and the new
headquarters in Carpi.
2001
The Company: around 400 direct and indirect
collaborators, over 5 million Made in Italy garments
2004
First Italian textile company certified ISO 14001
(environmental management) and EMAS ("Clean Company" without emission
of substances harmful to health). Company vocation and priorities are respect
for the health and well-being of employees, consumers and suppliers.
2004
Manuela Arcuri, symbol of Italian beauty in the world, in the ranking of the 10
most beautiful women on the planet, becomes a testimonial of Lormar and
protagonist of national and international advertising campaigns.
2006
Extension of the offer range to the SEA: "PLAYA DE LORMAR" is born.
2007
Extension of the range of offerings to the HOUSING and HOMEWEAR.
2007
Presidium of the Mass Market Channel: Women of Lormar "DdL" is born.
2008
The LORMAR Group: around 800 direct and indirect
collaborators, more than 8 million heads, 14,000 covered square meters.
2010
Transfer to our group of the management of the
brands "Infiore", "Chiaro di Luna" and
"Sollievo".
2011
Lormar and H3G, the multinational company that owns the famous
telecommunication company "3", cooperate in co-marketing actions and
advertising campaigns.
2012
The show girl Elena Santerelli is the new
testimonial for "Infiore" and "Sollievo".
2013
"Nickel and Dime", a new proprietary brand, creates a new Beachwear
capsule collection.
2014
The show girl Elisabetta Canalis becomes a new testimonial for the advertising
campaigns and institutional face of Lormar.
2015
Desiderio is born, the first underwire push-up bra
by Lormar: comfort, sensuality and pure femininity.
2016
Lormar launches Freedom: new line of bras and
bodysuits without underwire.
2017
The new VisionAir line by Lormar is born: bras made
of a new breathable fabric.
